Don't forget DETAILS!!  Every mom and dad wants to remember their newborn's little fingers, toes, feet, nose, lips, ears and eyelashes. 

This adorable family was so much fun to capture, especially their 3 year old son.  His big brown eyes were so expressive.  He just LOVED the camera and the camera LOVED him in return.   You can just FEEL the love in this family session.  This is always my goal for every session, to capture a feeling. 

As our beloved city of Houston and surrounding areas continue to dry out, it was time to get back to some normalcy.  While juggling helping others in need,  it was also time to capture sweet Catherine's 6 month stage.  Our original session date was set when Harvey devastated the city and so many suburbs and counties east and west of us.  We're incredibly lucky and beyond thankful the storm didn't affect our area too badly, as well as, this sweet family.  I think we could all use a sweet baby's smile to help us smile again.  We're sending LOVE and PRAYERS to all affected!!  We will continue to recover together one day at a time.  Houston Strong

BRAXTON ~ 14 Days New

Yee haw y'all, I just want to the two step right now because this little cowboy rocked his newborn session.  Please help me welcome Braxton, who is two weeks old.  His sweet mom requested a western theme.  In fact, dad brought his saddle, boots, hat and other must haves on the ranch.  The only thing missing was the horse...maybe when he's a little older.

I have been dreaming of this session and it finally happened.  And did I mention this little cowboy did not fuss at all, in fact, he slept the whole three hours.  He had a busy morning getting a check up so he was ready for a long nap.  Come on back and visit me Braxton. 

HEIRLOOMS

Do you have heirlooms?  Well consider using them as props in your photos.  It's a great way connecting your family's special  memories, heritage or interests.  As a newborn photographer, I love incorporating your family's heirlooms.  To me it just makes it extra special and tailor made for my clients.  So if you have anything you want to include, for example, grandpa's first football, baseball glove, grandma's wedding dress, pearls or a family bible, an American flag, music sheets, vintage camera, anything that is sentimental to your family lets use it in our session.  It can even be something that was yours as a child.  Here are some images where I used family heirlooms.
